3. Project 1:Hybrid
House Wife
Collection
For today's elegant and modern
woman, inspired by the aesthetics of
the fifties with eclectic and rocker
nuances; these characteristics prevail
with small touches of romance.
Intended to convey sweetness and
smoothness with different ranges of
white deriving to opal, highlighting
the female form in all its glory.
Deeply inspired in the TV series Mad
Men, giving me insight about women
from the fifties and the way that
different personalities were
manifested, and what kinds of
clothing they wore accordingly. I fell
in love with skirt length and the
elegance.
12. Project 2:
InkaGami
Inkagami, a dress made entirely of paper
using origami technique
Inspired by the Inca sun god Inti, this dress
represents the colorfulness of their culture.
Materials:
o color paper special for practicing
origami.
o Duplex card board
o Wire
o Cardboard, wide array of colors
o Glue
Inspired in the flag of Cusco that consists of
seven horizontal bands imitating the seven
colors of the rainbow.
I used the symbolism of the sun god “Inti” to
make a crown, and was inspired by the
“Uncu”, garment previous to the poncho,
to make a shoulder decoration.
Imitating the traditional use of petticoats I
took different colors of cardboard to design
the skirt with several layers just as they are
worn In the highlands of Peru.
21. Project 6: First Dress Made
• Motivated by Valentino’s
Blue Sapphire Collection
from fall 2013; inspired in
calm and serene portraits
of women by the Flemish
Old Masters. Took the
classic innocent style and
a fabric with a similar
print to develop my
dress.
25. Project 8:
Headdress inspired in
Valentino
Haute Couture SS13
Valentino Collection Spring - Summer
2013 Haute Couture
The designers were inspired by the
Rome of their Memories & Memoirs,
creating more intimate sentiment
garments. The results were almost
aristocratic.
Slip dresses are still the basis of the
collection, as well as the simple
monochromatic details and white
sequined brocade.
Valentino duo gives every woman a
princess feeling, with a subtle and
important twist to everyday beauty.
40. Project 13: Sewing Workshop in the Peruvian Jungle
As part of a social program from Hunt Oil Peru, I am in charge of supervising the
sewing workshop at the Native Communities of Shintuya, Diamante and Queros,
located in the Peruvian jungle. I have been working on this project since the
beginning, from signing the agreement with each community to coordinating the
purchase of the sewing machines, fabrics and tools needed. I have personally travelled
to every community to ensure the success of the workshop; this experience has given
me the opportunity to work one on one with the women of the communities,
enriching my understanding of their cultural values and their learning processes.

47. Project 14:
Pollera
Modification
I bought this pollera, a traditional skirt
used mainly in the highlands of Latin
America, at the floating island of Uros
in Puno, Peru.
As the fitting is not perfect and makes
me look bulky it occurred to me to
modify it for a better fit; so I could be
able to use it in Lima at the office.
