Salamati is the name of a health magazine for Afghan health workers. The aim of the magazine is to improve the quality of medical services provided by afghan health workers and to promote key health messages and proper practices.
Aide Medicale Internationale (AMI) launched Salamati magazine in 1994 to provide Afghan health workers with an appropriate tool to improve their knowledge and skills. And because health workers receive little written information and training material in their own language (Dari and Pashto), AMI felt there was a gap to fill with the regular publication of training magazine providing updated information on the major public health issues.
Salamati issue 36 is on mental health. It was published in 2007. The Chief Editor of the magazine was Dr Najibullah Hamid.
