In my almost 15years experience engaging customers, I have listened to, assisted and
exceeded customer expectations in different ways. Because I have worked mostly for
technology companies and within product, project and relationship management roles, I have
arranged some of my skillset around these job roles for brevity sake.
My experiences and interest are broader than these, and I hope that these can start the
conversation and inquiry on what I could learn and do to support your mission on customer
discovery, development and engagement.
Every business has two types of customers: internal customers (employees) and external
customers (clients). While my engagement work focuses on external customers rather than on
employees, I am convinced that HR and talent acquisition teams have as much to learn from
marketing, sales and advertising as those teams have to learn from HR.
It all starts with LISTENING and being willing to hear what the CUSTOMER has to say.
