Organization Digital Age Research Sponsorship Opportunities

  1. 1. 1 New sponsorship program to support independent research on the organization in the digital age • About the Research: Foundational Framework, Industry Feedback, Research Demographics • Sponsorship Opportunities: Cost and Benefits • About Jane McConnell: Business Analyst-Writer, Strategy Advisor, Workgroup Facilitator, Management Briefer
  2. 2. 2 The Research: Unique, Longitudinal and at the Leading Edge My unique, longitudinal research has been at the leading edge of digital work environments since 2006. Initially, it focused on the extended intranet as a communication and collaboration platform, before broadening its scope in 2010 to examine the emergence of the digital workplace. Since 2014, it has delved still deeper into the organization in the digital age. As an independent practitioner, I handle the survey design, data analysis and writing myself. I have no ties with agencies, consulting groups, technology companies or service providers. There is no commercial influence over the research or the reports. Sponsorship opportunities for research supporters This year, for the first time in 10 years, I have decided to create a Research Supporter section in the report. It will include technology and service providers, event companies, digital agencies, consulting groups and other organizations or people interested in helping support the 2016 research and report production.
  3. 3. Foundational Framework 3 “The Organization in the Digital Age”, the foundational framework developed in 2013, is used as the basis for digital workplace scores, diagnostics and action plans. The framework is in continual evolution as we, the global community, learn more together.
  4. 4. Industry Feedback 4 “Jane’s annual research, comprising expert analysis and thought provoking insights, has been incredibly valuable in being able to read how the digital landscape is evolving, and to benchmark our own achievements and vision for the future of our Intranet.” Digital manager, Global organization, HQ in US “Jane is doing very solid and interesting work in an arena that needs constant attention. I’ve always believed that technology is the easy part. Her landmark Harvard Business Review article, “Can Absence Make a Team Grow Stronger?”, written with two business school professors, is included in “HBR’s 10 Must Reads on Teams.” “From a variety of sources and my examination of what large enterprises are planning for this year — including the wonderful new report “The Digital Workplace in the Connected Organization in 2014″ by workplace technology guru and industry colleague Jane McConnell, we see these significant new workplace/tech factors as moving into focus within organizations this year…”. Dion Hinchcliffe in ZDNet “The eighth edition of the Digital Workplace Trends report by Jane McConnell represents a long leap forward in trying to quantitatively and analytically paint the direction towards the Connected Organization through a Digital Workplace Scorecard.” Emanuele Quintarelli, The Social Enterprise “Jane McConnell, Netstrategy/JMC, has recently published her excellent annual report, The Digital Workplace in the Connected Organization….I highly recommend this document to who wants to stay competitive in today’s market and who desires to attract and retain an intelligent workforce.” Bill Ives, professional blogger and business writer “There are a small number of people in any area of endeavor who become recognized as builders of fundamental frameworks that stand the test of time and become the accepted way of managing complex problems. …Jane McConnell, of NetStrategy/JMC, deserves to be added to that list for her work on digital workplaces.” Martin White, Intranet Focus, consultant, author and blogger
