The Hardest Part About Picking A Show To Watch (Comics)
Evaluation question one
1. EVALUATION QUESTION ONE
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
2. MY PRODUCT > USE > REAL PRODUCTS
From my target audience research they said one of the main words that poped
into there head when they hear the word “vampire” is Blood.
This clarified my thoughts on what aspects of a vampire I want to keep and what I
want to challenge.
I kept in the blood as the audience said that’s what they would expect to see. I did
this because I do want to challenge older vampire movies but some aspects
needed to stay the same, to classify it as a vampire film.
3. MY PRODUCT > DEVELOP > REAL PRODUCT
My film hasn't really developedVampire Horror films as a genre as my main aim
was not to show Bram Stokers “Vampire Journey” but to change it and do
something new.
4. MY PRODUCT >CHALLENGE > REAL PRODUCTS
My movie deffinatly challenges other vampire films such as Nosferatu.
Nosferatu is based on the Bram Stoker novel. And I felt after this movie and many
other similar movies there needed to be a change on the classic. So I took the
basic themes and adapted them into how vampires would have to live if they lived
in the 21st century. That was when my movie was born.
A lot of vampire films are very fantasy based and unnatural. I wanted to create a
world that was very real/natural and would be exactly the same as now but the
only difference is the vampires.
5. MY PRODUCTVS. REAL PRODUCTS
I feel my movie looks professional through the camera work, mise en scene,
editing and sound and that the story line is good enough for a professional film.
