penurious children by providing quality
education
• Currently provides education to 400
students from Kindergarten to Class 10

backward families who are not able to

children who are less privileged

becoming better citizens of the
country as envisioned by Swami
Vivekananda.

6. Challenges the School is facing
• High demand for real estate and surge in
real estate prices is obstructing the
operations of the school
• Continuous shifting of premises and
shuffling around multiple premises
hinders stable education and create
worries for children and parents alike.
• Continuous improvement on the quality
of education.
• Inflation and economic conditions affects
day to day operations as well
7.
8. Challenges with current setup
Premises availability at the pleasure of the
landlord
• Uncertainty exists over availability of facilities
Rent increases year over year
• Commercial property tax paid by school
• Reduced from 3 locations to 2
Unable to increase intake of students
• Lack of space in classrooms
Cannot undertake civil works to improve
facilities
• No running water at Primary and High School
• Only one toilet for 250 students in Primary
School
• Only one toilet for 60 boys in High School
• Challenges with current setup – 2
• Drinking water purchased daily from outside
• Students and staff at High School carry big hot
lunch containers up 3 flights of stairs
• Kitchen area too small for food preparation for
400 students
9. Challenges - School Facilities
Classrooms are small and congested
• No space to even walk in the classrooms
• 4 students sit on a bench meant for 3
No assembly area
• Flag hoisting on National Holidays done on
the neighborhood street
Whole day students are confined to classroom
seats
Students cannot move around in classroom
• Barely enough room for them to stand at
their seat
No space for recreational activities
• Reading room, physical exercise and labs
Lunch eaten at their seats in the classroom
• Even 4 year old KG students, carry their
lunch plates a flight of stairs to classroom
10. What the School needs now?
A Permanent Building for the School
• The school currently operates from
multiples rental premises.
• As we want to overcome the disruptions
that are being caused by the constant
shifting of the premises, and other
concerns as listed above. We wish to
establish a permanent building for the
school
• A project of this magnitude will require
big support and funding.
Lets make them smile wide and their dreams possible
11. Why own school premises ?
35+
YEARS
Own building will give
stability. No longer
dependent on landlords
Can design classrooms and facilities
according to
Needs
Spacious classrooms
Assembly area
Reading room / lab, etc.
Improve operational
efficiency. Will make it
easy to administer the
school programs
and activities
Increase intake of students. Systems and
procedures exist to provide quality
education but cannot take additional
students because of space constraints
Time is right for school
to have its own
premises!!
School has been in
existence for 35+ years
12. Why school in the same locality ?
• To cater to the needs of the children from the
economically and socially weaker sections of
this neighbourhood for a “quality English
medium education”
• Parents work and live in the Punjagutta /
Banjara Hills area and its surroundings.
• Likelihood that the children will not follow to
new location and even worse may dropout from
the school system altogether.
