The opposition of the protagonist and
causes the protagonist’s problems.
This does not have to be a human.

4. Round
Characters are interesting to the readers.
We know a lot about these characters.

5. Flat
Characters are under developed in the
story.
We do not know many things about these
characters.

6. Dynamic
CHANGE is the key word to associate
with dynamic characters.
These characters grow or change
emotionally in the story.
This is an internal change.

These characters do not change in the
story.
