The 2012 Country Stampede takes place June 21, 22, 23, and 24: The Big 94.5 Country Stampede Presented by Verizon Wireless is a four day
camping and music festival featuring four days of first class entertainment. The 2012 event will feature performances by Toby Keith, Zac Brown
Band, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry and many more! With the big event just over a week away, officials from The Big 94.5 Country Stampede
Presented by Verizon Wireless have put together this list of five things that will help you have the time of your life. For more information please
check out their site at http://countrystampede.com/
1. Take Care of Yourself: Since this is an outdoor event, some simple precautions must be taken to ensure a safe and happy weekend, but in the
excitement of the event these things can be easy to overlook. Drink plenty of water. Bottled water is available at all of our pop and beer stands
and free potable water is available at the water buffalos located around the festival grounds. Also, don't forget your sunscreen! You will be
spending a lot of time under the sun. Applying sunscreen will prevent you from becoming one of those poor unfortunate lobster people that we
see walking around every year!
2. Pack Smart: The old saying that, "if you don't like the weather in Kansas, just stick around" is very true. While we expect that the weather will
be warm and sunny it's a good idea to pack for everything from cooler temperatures to rain just in case.
3. Come Early: Coming early in the day has a lot of advantages. Arriving before the big evening rush ensures you a better parking spot, getting
into the parking lot faster, and if going general admission it allows you to get a closer place to set up your lawn chair. Coming early also allows
you time to experience all the cool activities and vendor exhibits at Stampede, not to mention all the great entertainment you would otherwise
miss out on. Gates open at 4pm on Thursday and 1pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Parking lots open at 8am.
4. Familiarize Your Self with Our Policies: Check out countrystampede.com and read our Tips, FAQ, and Camping Rules & Regulations before you
come. There is a lot of great information on there about what you can and cannot bring to the festival, and other important festival policies.
5. Have Fun and Be Safe: Our aim is to put on a show that will leave you with unforgettably great memories. We need your help to make sure
that happens, and following these tips and our rules and regulations is the best way help us accomplish that goal.

Noise Complaints and Noise/Training Advisory: Fort Riley and the 1st Infantry Division appreciate the enormous sacrifices made by our
neighbors as we train for the defense of our country. Among those sacrifices is the occasional disruption of daily life by the sometimes intrusive
noise caused by on-post training. The 1st Infantry Division and the other units that call Fort Riley and the Central Flint Hills Region home, train
hard to be ready at a moment's notice to answer our nation's call. Sometimes this fast-paced training results in loud artillery, low-flying aircraft,
weapons or demolition noise. We at Fort Riley pledge to do our best to keep our neighbors informed about when and where those disruptions
are likely to occur. Please contact the Community Relations Office with all concerns regarding noise, vibration, excessive dust, low-flying aircraft
and/or maneuver damage from the Fort Riley area, by calling (785)239-2022, or by email. Noise and Training Advisory for June 14-24, 2012:
Weapon systems in use for training from 7 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. during each day of this period have the potential for occasional noise impact.
Road/Area Closures: None.
Brigade still has some extra glasses left
over from the Brigade Dining- In and
looking to recoup some money spent on
them. Brigade is selling them for
$2/glass! They would make great gifts,
even if that gift is for you!!!! POC: PFC

exact change for the # of glasses you
           would like to purchase.
