The disappointment on her face was evident, but her smile – minus her two upper front teeth – quickly returned. Apparently she had thought it over carefully, “You’re right, Mommy, ’cause then where would we plug in the Wii?”

7. Randi, my best friend who lives in Myrtle Beach, skyped and we talked about the houses down there. She is graciously volunteering to check out each and every place I am interested in…scout out the neighborhoods, etc. I still have no concrete date to leave New York yet – there’s a LOT of variables – but I am VERY proud and VERY excited to say that we are taking the first steps on this journey.
