2. June Just Came!
Glory to God for this new month. In statistics,
June should be the median of all the months
of the year. Hmm! It is thus apparent: we are
in the middle of the year already! So excited!
Congratulations on this half-year jollification!
Welcome! Let us discuss a few things!
👇👇👇👇
3. Why in Doubt?
If you had begun that project yesterday,
bygone-be-bygone, you would have been one
day gone by today. If you had begun in the past
two weeks, your “Project Progress Metre”
would have read “Two weeks gone.”
If you have not at all begun, no progress can be
recorded because no process has occurred. It's
even impossible to measure any growth in such
situation. What is the essence of all these
illustrations?: Procrastination.
4. Great Plans, Enormous Challenges
We always have big dreams, conceive great
ideas and have large heart that can
accommodate any concept through which
we can make impact, but we are just
startled to start out. Even if we struggle to
start, we lack the ability of sustenance,
even when we try to sustain that which we
have started, we lack the strength to
continue to weather the storm—the
challenges and obstacles on the way.
5. You are Dear to God, Dare that Dread
Most of the time, our assignment is so dear
to us that we forget the one who gave us
the assignment to do. Yorubas will say “A
messenger don't tremble before the person
that will receive the message sent him.”
You should fear the one who is sending
you.” It's fear of him that will help you dare
the challenges you are likely to face.
We therefore need to muster courage!
6. Purposeful Living is not a Fiction
We are in a dilemma today: we believe
purposeful living is now old-fashioned. We
think stories of people who were able to
rise and fulfil purpose in the Bible is just a
mere fiction. We consult the Bible on
matters for religious sake and later leave to
focus on ourselves because we don’t really
rely on the Word. The word of God is life to
people who are alertly conscious in their
hearts and alive in their Spirit to obey God.
Afterall, seeking God is by hearts and not by
mere feeling or emotion.
7. Challenge your Challenges
Here is the thing: when we fear challenges
that we neglect the manager of our lives who
gave us assignment, there are every
tendencies we will give up on the
assignment. Now the implication is this: we
are giving up simply because we are looking
down on ourselves—our age (am I not too
young to do this), our connections (I don't
know people who can help), our friends (how
long can they stay by me before the back
down?), amidst other factors.
8. Only you can Ply that Lonely Route
We need to know that humans across our
line of purpose will be instrumental to our
success only if we submit to God and by
obedience ply that route He commissioned
for us to follow. It is then we will be able to
carry out the assignment he has committed
to our hands efficiently and effectively.
9. God, Your Confidant
Humans should not be our sole catalyst or
primary propeller. God may cause them to
be of help in our purpose-fulfilment
journey. Seeking for their help while
neglecting the instructions on the direction
to follow by the creator will get us to mess
up the whole assignments.
10. Fear the Lord: That is Courage Itself
We are to fear the Lord with godly fear.
Though there are fears on the way, but the
fear of the Lord gives wisdom. When God
leads us, we can be sure we will never go
astray for he will always get our back. We
must be careful also not to be stray sheep
who wanders away from jurisdiction of its
shepherd.
11. Let Procrastination take the Exit
Don't procrastinate in June. Jephthah also
did same. He looked down on himself. He
was nearly grounded by the thoughts of his
background. The Bible recorded that he was
in companionship with useless men. Despite
that, God found him and fit him somewhere
for use.
You are not useless. You should not make less
of your use!
13. You should be a Scripture Memoriser
◾ Do you desire to level up your scripture memorisation game this
month? There is a website I just discovered to the glory of God
that can be of help and will be instrumental to that growth you are
craving for. Head over to the website! There are memorisation
catalogues that have been designed in there. The designs are made
according to scriptural topics. There are other catalogues as well.
You will find the site interesting. You can even customise the
catalogue according to your liking and flexibility.
◾ You should be implored: It's not only sufficient to always want to
read the scripture like a usual ritual. When you memorise the
scripture and meditate on it, it becomes easy to for you to have
correct and accurate understanding of it. You will not need to
scrabble to get the scriptures to the heart when it lives rent-free in
your head. Mere head-archiving of the scriptures is not enough
though. The Holy spirit penetrates your heart, then the scriptures
uploaded in the head is downloaded to the heart and by
obedience, its impact is offloaded to address every situations
14. Conclusion
Procrastination is not only a thief of time. It is
a destroyer of life. Imagine how many people
will perish by the negligence of the military
suppose all soldiers sleep off.
It is advisable you stop procrastinating. You
are to keep the fire of the Spirit burning.
Don't believe that crap called impossibility!
You can rise above contours. Don't settle for
plateaus, there are higher mountains. Keep
on moving. There is no limit to the height you
can attain in the Lord. Lean on God and learn
of him. You're blessed!
