Dear Sara Martinez:
As a graduate of California State University Fullerton (2004), I commend your employee, Patricia Torres,
for the prompt and courteous service she provided me with. I recently found myself in urgent need of an
official transcript for employment purposes. Admissions and records employees had explained to me that
transcript requests were taking 20 – 30 days to process because of my situation this processing time was not
reasonable. I needed a transcript as soon as possible. I explained my situation repeatedly and every admission
and records employee that I spoke with was not sympathetic to my situation, many refused to be of any
assistance. After being transferred several times to various employees, I finally came into contact with
Patricia. Patricia had a very helpful attitude, took the time to listen to my situation, and went out of her way
to accommodate my request. Now, I realize that Cal State Fullerton has policies and procedures in place in
regards to the request of transcripts. However, the work demonstrated by Patricia is the epitome of public
service. Such professionalism is rare nowadays. Patricia is an asset to your organization and is part of the
reason I take such pride in being a Cal State Fullerton alumni. Please convey my appreciation to Patricia for a
job well done.
