Forests are our lifeline. We all depend upon forests in some way
or the other for survival. Forests provide us with fresh air to
breathe, food, medicines and other sources like wood, fodder
and other raw materials for the industries. Forests prevent soil
erosion and hold the earth firmly.
Visit to a forest
The environment in forest was peaceful and a cool breeze was
blowing . The monkey climb the trees as it is a habit to it there are
so
many animals in the deeper forest like
boar, bison, jackals, porcupine, elephants. etc. The land in the forest
was uneven and it is covered it with many trees such as
sal teak. etc. There are shrubs herbs and grasses in the forest
it is too dark inside the forest

Uses
We can make plywood, fuel, wood, boxes, paper,
matchsticks and furniture. Gums, oils, spices, fodders
for animals and medicinal plants too. The forest floor
provides encouraging conditions for them to
germinate and develop into seedings and saplings
some grow up into trees if we added that branchy
part of a tree above the stem is known as the crown
of the tree

heterotrophs.
• There are carnivores, herbivores and
omnivores.
• Mushroom feed upon the dead plant
and animal tissues and convert them into
dark shaded are called humus
• The organisms which convert the
dead plants and animals to humus
are known as decomposers.

Summary
Forests help in maintaing the temperature and oxygen level
of the atmosphere. Forests provide us with shelter,water,
nourishment,fuel.
