We picked this project because we thought it would be fun and the kids would love it. The kids are seventh and eighth graders. it will teach the
seventh and eighth graders respect and sportsmanship. This project is important to me because respect is a big part of life along with sportsmanship.
If you are mean and a sore loser no one's gonna want to be one your team and might not want to be friends with you either. What we are doing for this
project is we're going over to woodside middle school to play games with the seventh and eighth graders like kickball and bonkerball. We think the

How Fear of Failure and Aggression Effect Sportsmanship Sportsmanship, or lack thereof, is a real problem in youth sports today. Many kids quit
playing due to a poor experience with sports. Many coaches will use tough love, and constant shouting to motivate kids, hopefully instilling that

I do think that these skills have helped me in my own life. I have learned that won't always succeed at everything, but that is okay because I learn

considered to you? Is it an attitude, or simply an act? Sportsmanship can be handled in several different ways. It's how one team handles another on
and off the field. Simply it could also be said as just the way you handle the game in general after a tough loss, or after an easy win, it how your
demeanor is during and after a game. Sportsmanship can be an Individual, as a team, as a community, or at a deeper meaning all of them together.

effect this attitude has on the children. I have witnessed this behavior from coaches and

of their peers. The negative effect this has on the athletes is obvious. They become

Both of the above quotes show the distinct link between skill, ability and technique. Skill can be broken down into a number of different types. These
are: Cognitive skills, Perceptual skills, Motor skills and Perceptual motor skills.
In order to perform any skill in sports, you must have the ability to do so. Your ability is something that you are born with, so to improve it you need
to train. Here are two definitions of ability:

The game of tennis has many aspects. The player has to be able to serve, return or rally, and lastly win the point. Tennis is mainly just all in one's
mind. The player has to be ready and always one step ahead of his or her opponent. Tennis can be applied to an argument. The person arguing has to
serve or try and get across his or her opinion. Then return the favor by letting the other person get theirs across. Lastly, the people arguing need to be
able to find a winner, or find an alternative.
In tennis, the player serves the ball to the opponent. The goal is to have such a deep and solid shot that the opponent can not hit it back. This is called

There are never any ties. The only "tie" there is, is deuce, but every deuce point comes to an end. In parallel to an argument, usually only one person
is the winner. This happens once someone realizes they are wrong, or they have just given up arguing. Most of the time someone only gives up the
argument if they know that the other person will not stop until himself is declared the winner. These are the people who are "always right". When
arguing with someone always right, it is impossible to win. They will argue with the other person even when they know they are wrong. If the people
arguing are not very stubborn, a winner can be determined. When both people can not come to an agreement, an alternative will be made. This is the
only fair way so both people can get their satisfaction of winning the fight. Agreeing to disagree it is sometimes called.
Tennis is now applied to arguments. Someone can mentallyplay the game of tennis to get through an argument. This way the argument can be fair and
square. Once the serving, returning, and the winning of the argument has been completed, the argument should be accomplished. There should be a
