Sir Peter Birkett has more than 30 years of experience in the education sector, having started as a lecturer before becoming the Principal and CEO of two Further Education Colleges and, most recently, the Founder and Executive Chairman of an independent school for 5-16-year olds on the borders of Devon and Cornwall.
An innovator and strong leader in the world of education, business and charity, in 2012 Sir Peter Birkett was awarded a Knighthood in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Birthday Honours for Services to Further Education, Schools and the Academy Movement.
