Culture is an important part of identity and at the same time makes a contribution to happiness. Culture enables a celebration of difference that can be immensely positive. Culture usually gives a connection with the past and a reason for preserving something for the future. Culture takes many forms. While most of culture is positive, there are aspects of culture that are negative, usually reflecting ideas are in need of modernization to reflect current scientific understanding.
