Conceptually, we can view the architecture in terms of the four tiers shown here.Infrastructure Operating Environment: is a shared-services engine that provisions and adapts application environments on the fly, to instantly respond to business demands. Accelerate the delivery of application environments In a predictable, repeatable way That makes the most efficient use of IT resources and staff time. Drives high levels of standardization that frees administrator time and IT capacity to support business goals more effectivelyBenefits:Delivers new services in minutes instead of months Optimize infrastructure and resource utilization confidentlyProtects continuity and quality of services Flex Fabric: can connect 1000’s of servers to a virtualized, high performance and low-latency network that consolidates multiple protocols into a single fabric to dramatically lower network complexity and cost. Moves network intelligence away from the core and closer to the server edgeSsimplifies today’s hierarchical, complex and inflexible networkingImproves overall network performance, utilization and flexibility. Wire-once approach to adapt connections and performance to meet changes in workload demand and to move workloads across or between data centersBenefits:Flexibility for reduce cost and complexityScales capacity to match application demand on the fly – Instantly migrates connections as applications move Predictable performance and quality of service and securityVirtual Resource pools: purpose-built systems able to create adaptive, shared capacity that can be combined, divided and repurposed to match any application demand faster and more efficiently. One of the foundations of the Blade Scale architecture is commonality … it’s engineered into every level of the architectureThe bottom line for a customer is --- with a multi-purpose architecture like this, we’ve built a common compute platform for the data center. This allows customers to repurpose assets and extend their lives. Even, at the simplest level, the ability to have common spare parts can reduce costs immediately for our customers. You may have seen in our demo that you can swap out power supplies, fans, some interface cards etc. This means instant, onsite, reusable spares that work across your systems. With a multi-purpose architecture like this, you can tier apps across enclosures ….
