Top 10 scenario-based questions for hiring a Team Leader
Opportunity to be Brilliant at Work
1. Hi!
We’re
We give people the opportunity to be brilliant at work.
Which helps businesses do brilliant things.
2. We’re a technology-powered management consultancy,
who believe great people are the most important part of
every business.
We know one size doesn’t fit all, so we always find
‘What Great Looks Like’ for each organisation and every
role we work with. Then we use our technology to find and
develop great people.
And we’re on an incredible journey. Last year we opened
our first US office in California, we doubled our revenue,
and doubled in size. This year we plan to beat that!
Which is where you come in…
3. Great Culture.
Chemistry is filled with talented and interesting people. We’ve
come from all kinds of different backgrounds to work on what we
believe in: Giving everybody the opportunity to be brilliant.
We work incredibly hard at what we do, and constantly develop
ourselves. But don’t worry, our culture is fun and fascinating.
Once you’re with Chemistry, you’ll wonder why every business
doesn’t have a nutritionist providing lunch every day, you’ll
scratch your head about how a suit and tie relate to performance
in any way, and you’ll question how you ever got through the day
without 90’s hip-hop blaring in the background.
Our kitchen is packed with healthy food and drinks to keep us
sharp.
We do have fun too. Whether that’s Friday drinks, the annual trip to
Royal Ascot, or even the odd company ski trip, you’ll be seeing an
awful lot of us if you join Chemistry.
4. Great Clients.
We may still have all the buzz of a start-up but our
client roster includes huge companies like Vodafone,
Experian, Lloyds, Primark, SAP, and Diageo. And
we’ve worked with those guys in every unfrozen
continent on the planet, so if you’re looking for
experience working with some big names we’re the
place for you.
But we don’t just work with big corporates: We
believe everyone should have an opportunity to be
brilliant. That’s why we work with Help for Heroes to
help wounded veterans, it’s why we work with IndiGo
Volunteers on projects across India and Africa, it’s
why we help Reading FC’s academy find future
premier league stars, and it’s why we help the NHS
find the staff who can deliver great care to patients.
5. Great Work.
Our intent is to give people the opportunity to be brilliant at
work and you really do need to believe in that to work here.
There’ll be times when you’ll have to work long hours and
projects where you might tear the odd hair out but, at the end
of them, you’ll always know you gave people that opportunity
and made some peoples’ lives that little bit better.
The only way we can do this is by being brilliant ourselves.
And this is what that means for you.
6. Consulting
Chemistry.at
It’s a hugely exciting time to join the Consulting Team at
Chemistry, we’re delivering amazing projects for amazingc
clients and creating a name for ourselves as the place to
go for accurate Selection and Performance tools.
If you’re worried about working for just another
Management Consultancy, don’t be. If you’re picturing
what it might be like to work at KPMG or one of the others
right now, you’re a million miles away from what it’s like
to work here. I guarantee you will get great opportunities
you would have only dreamed about, plus the list of
clients we already have is insane and you will be working
directly with C level contacts in these and bringing in
more to add to the list.
7. Who we need.
We need someone who is hell bent on creating magic with
our clients through world-class delivery of our products. You
will be here to make sure our clients feel like they are at the
centre of the universe, but also to challenge and change how
they bring out the best in their people.
This means you will be able to create trusted and long-term
partnerships and take the lead in designing, delivering and
managing projects and solutions.
You will own senior stakeholder relationships throughout the
project delivery lifecycle, identify longer-term account
development opportunities, working closely with our sales
team to form partnerships and growth.
8. What you’ll do.
You’ll be responsible for identifying and anticipating
client needs to drive performance. We don’t sit on the
fence at Chemistry. Our consultants take a data-led
approach to challenge and change the mindset of our
clients, even if it’s hard to hear.
You’ll be leading design with a virtual team across
production, consulting and technology. You’ll be
responsible for quality and sign off of all content. This
will include workshops, individual profiling and
presentations.
If that’s not enough, you’ll also get to manage projects
against budget and scope and lead project activity to
meet our commitments to clients.
You’ll also have responsibility for junior members of the
team, and continually nurturing talent within Chemistry.
9. Great Opportunities.
When we say our intent is to give everyone the opportunity to be
brilliant at work, of course we extend that to you.
That’s why we spend most of every single Monday working
exclusively on our development. We call this, shockingly…
‘Opportunities to be Brilliant’.
You’ll get to hear from great industry speakers, learn from internal
experts, improve your own skills, and even learn about things like
mindfulness and nutrition so that you can be at your best every
day.
We also use quarterly OKRs to make sure your development is
constantly on-going and in tune with the needs of the business. If
you need to do something to progress and do your job better,
we’ll make sure it happens.
And we’d always rather develop and promote our own people
than hire from outside. If you make it through the door, we’ll
make sure you have every opportunity to get where you want to
go – all you have to do is take it!
