Not only do customers have the advantage of skipping crowded stores and long lines, they are now able to shop while at home, at work or on the go. Tilly’s is a West Coast inspired apparel, footwear and accessories store with an

Their app creates a great connection with their customers with features including access to exclusive content, a streamlined mobile shopping experience, store and product locators, personalized promotions, digital receipts. “We want every customer that interacts with Tilly’s to have an exceptional and consistent experience, whether they’re in-store, online, or on their mobile phone,” said Craig DeMerit, Tilly’s Chief Operating Officer. “With the Alert platform, we were able to quickly roll out a compelling mobile app to our customers that provides them with an enhanced experience of our brand. We launched the Tilly’s app before the holidays and have seen our customers respond positively to downloading it and using the great features available.” Alert’s commerce allows retailers to encourage their customers to claim offers through targeted promotions, make purchases and share items with others. It gives brands mobile presence for continuous interactions and location-specific marketing. “The MicroStrategy Alert Platform provides a complete turnkey solution for leading retailers like Tilly’s to get a fully branded and customized mobile commerce app up and running in less than a month,” said Michael J. Saylor, MicroStrategy Chairman and CEO. “With Alert’s rich feature set, a retailer can put its entire company into the palm of every customer. They can delight their app users with great service and simultaneously sell more products and capture more customers.” In 2012, CBS News announced that the number of smartphone users toped 1 billion. According to Techcrunch.com, there are over 800,000+ applications for both Android and Apple phones and millions of apps being downloaded everyday. The future of mobile commerce apps can turn into a demanding trend with so many smartphone users constantly downloading apps. There are multiple reasons why I don’t get to shop as often as I would like; the crazy crowds, lack of mobility and being attached to the comfort of my home. However, I would use mobile commerce apps for easy, lazy shopping. With the success of Tilly’s app, I can see other major retailers partnering up with MicroStrategy releasing m- commerce apps for their shopoholics. By Pia Talwar 0 TweetTweet 42 Like 1 ShareShare 0
