OW's approach to the supply chain
We understand supply chain and so-called local content in three dimensions:
involvement of companies as suppliers to boost the local economy - both as suppliers
to BC-Wind and promotion of companies at Ocean Winds projects around the world;
education of future personnel for offshore wind sector - educational programs in
primary and secondary schools organized by OW;
support competence development in the field - building a local team of specialists in
Poland
and competence training.

O&M port for BC-Wind
in Władysławowo
OW and BC Wind have chosen the port in Władysławowo as their service base (O&M Port) as well as the
Maritime Coordination Center.
• Wind Turbines, Offshore Substation, and export cables require constant monitoring and maintenance, which is why a key component of
this team is a service center located nearby, equipped with the necessary infrastructure and logistics support.
• The port in Władysławowo is an optimal location for us due to its position: its distance from the shore and the offshore wind
farm, favourable navigational and technical conditions of the port, and sufficient depth for both approach and the port channel.
Another equally important added value is the existing transportation infrastructure and accommodation facilities, which are
fulfilling the O&M base mission 24/7/365 days a year.

  • 47. OW and BC Wind have chosen the port in Władysławowo as their service base (O&M Port) as well as the Maritime Coordination Center. • Wind Turbines, Offshore Substation, and export cables require constant monitoring and maintenance, which is why a key component of this team is a service center located nearby, equipped with the necessary infrastructure and logistics support. • The port in Władysławowo is an optimal location for us due to its position: its distance from the shore and the offshore wind farm, favourable navigational and technical conditions of the port, and sufficient depth for both approach and the port channel. Another equally important added value is the existing transportation infrastructure and accommodation facilities, which are fulfilling the O&M base mission 24/7/365 days a year. • 54. Challenge Objective: Unmanned Autonomous Vehicle (UAV) system to support underwater offshore O&M activities during the whole life of an Offshore Wind Farm. UAV INSPECTIONS SECURITY RESCUE TRANSPORT Regular inspection of Offshore Wind Turbine and Offshore Substation underwater substructures and cabling. Periodical inspection and monitoring of seabed and marine life environment. Surface transport of spare components from O&M base to the Offshore Wind Farm location. Securing the Offshore Wind Farm in the event of any incident in the site area by checking and sending remotely the incident data to O&M control room. Assist the rescue team in the event of incident especially in the limited and poor visibility conditions to locate and immediately pinpoint the place of incident.
  • 55. Challenge Functionality:  Inspection of Wind Farm area, structures, equipment.  Transport items from O&M base to Offshore Wind Farm site. Double Mode Operation Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Unmanned Surface Vessel  Inspection of the subsea structures and equipment (i.e.: ICCP, CPS)  Monitoring and marine data acquisition for environmental campaigns. UAV Improvement and optimization of underwater activities by minimizing the technician and manned vessels engagement needs, thus reducing the human intervention risks, and minimizing the overall carbon footprint.
  • 56. Challenge requirements: Main Functional Requirements Sufficient Range Transport of different sizes and mases Resistant to different weather condition Piloted by Artificial Intelligence Real time data transfer  The autonomous system needs to be able to deliver all-in-one (multitask) different underwater and water- surface inspection and surveillance capabilities, and to be able to work remotely to acquire and transmit real-time data to an Artificial Intelligence control system for real-time decision-making.  The chalange inclueds development of hardware and software functionalities needed for the UAV system.  It includes docking station development in OWF and O&M base location. 1. Health and safety involves removing, or minimising, the causes of accidents and other events in the workplace which may have adverse effects on workers /on us/. It means investigating a range of issues (i.e. chemical, biological and physical) as well as understanding why people behave the way they do (i.e. psychological or human factors). Moral - the moral duty one person has to another. The moral arguments are reflected by the occupational accident and occupational disease rates. Social/Legal - the framework of laws that governs the conduct of businesses and organisations. Economic - the cost to business of accidents and ill-health. Apart from prosecutions and fines, or damages paid as compensation for injuries to workers that may result from accidents, unsafe working conditions are likely to impact on motivation and morale in the workforce and therefore on production levels. Poor business conduct can also seriously damage the reputation and long-term financial viability of an organisation. The culture of an organisation refers to the formal and informal rules, values, customs and relationships that describe the “feel” of the organisation. Safety culture can be defined as the shared attitudes, values, beliefs and behaviours relating to health and safety.
