Saber como usar el presente simple en Inglés.

2. SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
En inglés se utiliza para hablar de actividades
habituales y verdades generales o,
particulares. Suele generarse confusión,
porque en español, muchas veces, hablamos
en el tiempo Presente para hablar de
acciones que están ocurriendo ahora
(Presente Continuo) .

3.  Para expresar hábitos y rutinas, hechos
generales, acciones repetidas o situaciones,
emociones y deseos permanentes:
 I smoke (hábito)
 I work in London (permanencia)
 London is a large city (hecho general)

4.  Para dar instrucciones o indicaciones:
 You walk for two hundred meters, then you
turn left.

5. RECUERDA:
 El "Simple Present Tense" (El Presente) no
se utiliza para hablar de lo que está
ocurriendo ahora (para "ahora", se emplea el
"Present Continuous"). El "Simple Present
Tense" se utiliza para hablar de actividades
que se realizan periódicamente o, para
hablar de verdades generales, o particulares.

6. ESTRUCTURA PARA USAR EL «PRESENT SIMPLE
TENSE»
 SUJETO + VERBO EN PRESENTE.
 Ej1: I + wake up at seven o'clock. (Yo) me despierto
a las siete.
 Ej 2: They + live in Paris. Ellos/Ellas viven en Paris.
 NOTA: para la tercera persona "She, He and It" hay
que agregar una "s" o "es" al final del verbo.
 Ej: She studies. Ella estudia. Notese como aquí
cambia el "spelling "
 Ej 2: It works Funciona. (Una máquina, por
ejemplo).

7. NOTAS SOBRE LA TERCERA PERSONA DEL SINGULAR
DEL "SIMPLE PRESENT"
 En la tercera persona del singular, el verbo siempre termina en -s:
he wants, she needs, he gives, she thinks.
 Para las formas negativa e interrogativa, se emplea:
 DOES (= tercera persona del auxiliar 'DO') + el infinitivo del verbo.
 He wants ice cream. Does he want strawberry? He does not want vanilla.
 Verbos que terminan en -y : en la tercera persona del singular, se cambia la -
y por -ies:
 fly --> flies, cry --> cries
 Excepción: cuando una vocal precede a la -y:
play --> plays, pray --> prays
 Añadimos -es a los verbos que terminan en:-ss, -x, -sh, -ch:
he passes, she catches, he fixes, it pushes

8. EJEMPLOS
 He goes to school every morning.
 She understands English.
 It mixes the sand and the water.
 He tries very hard.
 She enjoys playing the piano.

9. ¿CÓMO SE PREGUNTA CON EL "PRESENT TENSE"?
 Estructura preguntas: Do/Does+ sujeto +
verbo siempre en infinitivo +?
 NO poner al verbo "s" o "es" para la tercera
persona.
 Ejemplo 1: Do + you + study? ¿Estudias
(tú)?
 Ejemplo 2: Does + she + live here? ¿Vive
(ella) aquí?

10. REPASO DE LAS ESTRUCTURAS:
Positivo
Sujeto+ Verbo en Presente. Tercera
persona agrega "s" o "es".
Negativo
Sujeto + do not (don't)/does not
(doesn´t) + verbo principal en infinitivo
siempre.
Pregunta
Do/Does+ sujeto + verbo principal en
infinitivo siempre+?

11. RECUERDA:
 Para negar y preguntar en presente se utiliza
el verbo auxiliar "DO" [du] o "DOES"[das].
 -El verbo "DO/DOES" es un verbo auxiliar
(en este caso, no significa hacer) y, por
tanto, NUNCA debe utilizarse conjuntamente
con el verbo "to be".
 Ej: No se dice: "Don't are." (incorrecto), sino
"You aren't." (correcto).
