Salary Rule Categories are used to calculate data like wages, discounts,
gain, taxes, contribution registers, etc. Salary Rule Categories computes
data like Allowance, Deduction, Gross, Profit, Company Contribution, etc.
with handling which you can characterize your Salary Rule.
Now you can define the Salary Rule Categories in Payroll module:
Go to Payroll Module -> Configuration -> Setting -> Salary Rule
Categories and click on the Create button.

Salary rules are used to calculate data like wages, discounts, gain, taxes,
contribution registers, etc. You can define salary rules with managing the
expression.
Salary rules are an essential part of the Salary Structure. Now you can fill all
the required fields in Salary Rules like Name, Category, Salary Structure,
Sequence, Active, Appears on Pay slip.
Under the General tab, the user wants to give conditions that have options as
Always True, Range & Python Expression depending upon the necessity.
Amount Type can be used like Fixed Amount, Percentage & Python Code.

10. Salary Structure:
In the Odoo 13 Payroll Module, Salary Structure is the set of parameters that describe
the salary. Salary structure is used to determines the in-hand pay, gross salary, net
salary, allowances, etc.
11. Contracts:
An employment contract designs out the rights and responsibilities of both
employer and employee.
The employment contract includes the salary or wage structure, Scheduled
Pay(monthly/weekly), Working Schedule, duration of employment,
benefits, etc.
The contract includes everything required to compute the salary slip of an
employee.

13. Employee pay slip:
Employee pay slip is a small document, involved with an employee's wage
or salary, providing details of money earned and tax and insurance paid.
A pay slip or paycheck stub is a document an employee receives either as
a notice that the direct deposit transaction has proceeded through, or is
attached to the paycheck.
Now you can fill all the required fields like Employee name, Period,
Reference, Structure, Contract, Company, Pay slip Name, etc.
Worked days & inputs tab is used to list out the total worked hours base on
the working schedule selected on the contract.
Now you can confirm the Pay slip. It also does the calculation of several
salary rules configured in Salary Structure.

15. Employee pay slip batches:
In Odoo Employee pay slip batches are used to create pay slip of the
various employees at a time. It is like a register which holds pay slips of
several employees.
16. After filling all required fields now click on the Generate pay slip button. At that
time, you can select the list of employees for which you want to make pay slips via
using the generate button.
17. Contribution Register:
In Odoo 13 Payroll, the contribution register is helpful to link a list of details. After
successfully creating a register now you can indicate it on Salary rule. At the same
time, the Pay slip created, pay slip lines created during salary rules, should a
contribution register will link with that register.
