We are today releasing the Millionaires Index - an infographic examining how many developers are making $1M or more per year on the app stores, and an analysis of how much smaller developers are actually making. We partnered with Priori Data in Berlin who provided the app store revenue data for the study. The data reveals an emerging good news story for small independent developers – and a rising “middle class” who are making a good income from the app economy, contrary to the accepted theory that it’s only a tiny number of “big guys” who make meaningful revenues.
