12. ENTERPRISE MOBILITY – SELF SERVICE / TRAVEL APPROVAL
Merck Self Services Project handles the Travel Expenses approvals from
an iPad application. Managers can now approve his sub-ordinates
travel expenses on the go from an iPad. The iPad connects securely over
the network to the SAP system using the Sybase Unwired Platform &
Active Directory for authentication, downloads the travel expense
requests and display them in a list to the manager. The Manager can
then go ahead and select individual requests or a bunch of requests and
approve/reject them.

Project Overview
The project aims for development of an iPad/ iPhone app that will use data from SAP CRM system to provide its users an
understanding of the
Customer’s decision-making process, overcome common objections, and satisfy Customer’s preference for alignment of costs with benefits. Once synced the
data will also be available in offline mode.

The Mobile Financing app allows the user to see financial options after fetching required information about Product/Services pricing for iPad devices. Field
Sales Executives are the end users.
User logins into the application –via SSO certificate only.
User can get a list of “Regions”, “Opportunities” and display the pricing option details
User can use the Search to include other Opportunities, product using Opportunity number, product name or number.
User can select the country for the “Financing” in a graphical style and store it as settings for the app.
No Changes can be saved in backend systems online.
Landscape
Data is only pulled from SAP ERP system and no data update is done.
