ANTI-DUMPING, INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND WTO
The team represents legitimate commercial interests of foreign exporters, importers (within the
Indian industry) as well as the consumers at large from the stage of initiation of investigation to
the finalization of the proceedings before the administrative and quasi- judicial bodies,
appellate authorities, high courts of various states of India and the Supreme Court of India. The
team has represented / is representing companies from Israel, China, UK, Europe and U.S.A. The
team also has the requisite experience to advise and defend the interests of Indian industries
before similar investigating authorities around the world.
The team provides research support, consultancy services apart from rendering practicable advise

ANTITRUST & COMPETITION
The team has handled some of the most high profile matters (including cement cartel
matter) in competition law space in India and has represented clients (informants and
defendants) before competition authorities (Competition Commission of India and
Competition Appellate Tribunal) in India.
The team has in-depth understanding of European Union’s Competition laws
especially Article 101 and 102 apart from legal developments in some of the prominent
jurisdictions including United States of America. The team members have often rendered

DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND ARBITRATION
King, Stubb & Kasiva has a full-fledged Litigation Practice Group and is ably supported by team
of lawyers who have in depth experience and understanding of the various facets of litigation in
India. The Group represents clients before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, the
District Courts, the Company Law Board, Income Tax Tribunals, Advance Ruling Authority, the
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the Consumer Courts, the Debt Recovery
Tribunals, the Motor Accident Claims Tribunals, the Labour tribunals and the Board for
Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR).

Oil & Gas

MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS, FUNDS & PRIVATE EQUITY PRACTICE
King Stubb & Kasiva’s Mergers & Acquisitions, Funds & Private Equity Practice Group is
comprised of attorneys experienced in complex corporate transactions who regularly represent a
broad range of domestic and foreign corporations, private equity, mezzanine, distressed funds
and financial institutions in their M&A-related deals, which encompass an equally broad range
of industries and businesses. To provide greater co-ordination the Firm has an integrated M&A,
Funds & Private Equity Practice which also helps our clients in a significant manner.
Our attorneys are most often involved in transactions at an early stage and provide advice
regarding the development of strategies designed to achieve our clients' business objectives,

Labour Issues – We advice clients on structuring the labour fall outs of a M&A transaction. We
have on several occassions structured transactions for our clients to overcome the challenges
posed by Indian labour law regulations. We also negoitate other employee related matters
relating to acquisitions including non-compete and non-solicit clauses in employment
agreements. We advice on structuring employee related dues and other statutory obligations
arising out of payment of gratuity, workmen compensation etc.
Tax- We provide tax advisory services and are in a position to quicky turn around on tax related
issues that envelope domestic and cross-border M&A deals. We evlove the optimum tax
structure while structuring deals for eg., carry forward of losses, slump sale structuring, de-
merger and spin-off.

  • 4. 4 ANTI-DUMPING, INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND WTO The team represents legitimate commercial interests of foreign exporters, importers (within the Indian industry) as well as the consumers at large from the stage of initiation of investigation to the finalization of the proceedings before the administrative and quasi- judicial bodies, appellate authorities, high courts of various states of India and the Supreme Court of India. The team has represented / is representing companies from Israel, China, UK, Europe and U.S.A.
