Carrick Master Station Software is an application which manages and monitors
various legacy devices such as IDM, BEN32, QWAVE, CASHEL, and DFR2000.It is
developed using loosely coupled architecture to interact with the multiple devices.
Using this application user can communicate with various devices and collect
different kinds of data such as Power Quality data, Digital Fault Recording data, Fault
Location information etc, and the retrieved data can be analyzed using waveform
viewer which plots the data in the form of graphs.
Carrick has significant advantage over existing Master Station applications for
functionality, particularly in the areas of multi-user operation, data processing and

Quality (PQ), Fault Location (FL) and Digital Fault Recording data (DFR).
4. Carrick Master Station Software is Client/Server based (distributed architecture) and
runs on one or more PCs using Publisher Subscriber mechanism and stores data in a
SQL / Oracle database.
This software development life cycle involved different processes like Waterfall, Agile
