Boeing History born Oct. 1, 1881 in Detroit, Michigan to an affluent family  attended Yale University but left shortly in 1903 and got into the lumber business He invested in timberlands around Gray's Harbor and also got into the lumber operation
Boeing got into boat design so he attended the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition (1909) he saw a manned flying machine for the first time and became fascinated with aircraft. In 1916, Boeing went into business with George Conrad Westervelt as B & W and founded the Pacific Aero Products Co. .

Boeing History (cont)  In April 1917, America entered the First World war  Boeing    changed the name of    Pacific Aero Products Co. to Boeing Airplane Company 1939-1945 The American men went to war, women built airplanes. Thousands of women symbolized the workforce and helped boost production from 60 planes per month.
Boeing History (cont)  In 1934, the United States government accused William Boeing of monopolistic practices Air Mail Act ordered him to break up his company into three separate entities: United Aircraft Corporation, Boeing Airplane Company, and United Air Lines.
Boeing History (cont)  Boeing retired from the aircraft industry in 1934. He then spent the remainder of his years in property development and thoroughbred horse breeding William Boeing is known for his passion for thoroughbred horses. And because he never approaches anything in a half-baked manner, he became one of the most successful breeders of thoroughbred horses in America.
Boeing History(cont)  William Boeing died on September 28, 1956, at the age of 74, just three days before his 75th birthday

The Boeing Company and Lockheed Martin have teamed to perform studies and system development efforts including collaborative research and development in pursuit of the anticipated U.S. Air Force 2018 Bomber program Boeing and Lockheed Martin are working closely at all levels to capture the best of industry to develop and provide an effective and affordable solution for the warfighter. The work performed by the Boeing/Lockheed Martin team is designed to help the Air Force establish capability-based roadmaps for technology maturation and date certain timelines for the 2018 Bomber program.
