Dear Members & Friends,
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to join us for our
first Chaîne dinner of 2017 as we return to one of
Vancouver’s most intimate and best-loved French
restaurants – Bistro Pastis. Please join us for this pre-
Valentine’s day event, as we come together to experience
the award-winning cuisine of Pastis founder Chef John
Blakely in concert with Chef Michael Mikoda.
Chefs Blakely and Mikoda have lovingly crafted an original five-course
tasting menu especially for our enjoyment, punctuated by fine French
wines from our Chaîne cellar as selected in consultation with Bob Charlton.
For those of you who may not be aware, after 20 great years, Chef Blakely
has decided to turn over the reins of Pastis to new owner Mr. Stefan
Langford, who has very graciously agreed to welcome us. Although no
longer involved day to day, Chef Blakely still plans to be with us for this
special occasion.
La Chaîne is deeply rooted in the rich culinary tradition of France, making
dinner at Pastis an especially delightful way to start our year. I very much
look forward to seeing you there.
