2. WHAT ARE CELLS?
A] Cells are the simplest units that make up living-things.
B] Some living-things,such as bacteria and yeast,are made of only one
cell.
3. ANIMAL CELLS
CELL MEMBRANE:
It controls the movement of substances into and out of the cell.
CYTOPLASM:
It is a jelly like substance that contains other cell parts.
NUCLEUS:
It controls all the activities in the cell and contains information
that is passed from the parent to the offspring.
4. PLANT CELLS
CELL WALL:
It protects the other cell parts and gives it shape to the cell.
CHLOROPLASTS:
Contain CHLOROPHYLL which absorbs light energy needed
by the plant for photosyntesis.
