commissioning of standby generator (20 to 1200KVA) and UPS
systems nationwide. Liaising with and approving sub-contractor works,
including fuel system installs and acoustic systems. Implementation of
STOR systems to existing generator installations.
Full customer facing responsibility and preparation of RAMS for works
undertaken.
Assisting sales engineers in the preparation of bids for generator
installations.

Responsible for overseeing the design, supply and delivery of specialist
generator systems to the oil and gas market. The generators are
designed to operate in extreme and hazardous environments and are
therefore heavily specified by the client. This includes the use of Atex
certified components and the use of specialist metals and associated
fittings. Equipment acoustic enclosures are manufactured from stainless
steel 316l and instrumentation is Zone 1. Other aspects of the job
include the fulfilment of the client’s documentation requirements (SDS),
and completion of all necessary third party inspections from third party
inspectors.

Administering modifications to standard Olympian genset units (20kva
up to 750kva) in line with customer requirements. Specifying and
ordering components and deciding on the correct method by which to
implement these customisations. Also arranging for the delivery offload
and positioning of the equipment as agreed with the customer. This also
included small scale installations of the generators.

As the Senior Contracts Engineer, I examined proposed contractual
terms and conditions. Negotiated problem issues with the ordering party
to reach an acceptable position and to limit liability and financial
exposure prior to contract acceptance.
