This research identifies the relevant factors influencing purchase decisions from a customer relationship management (CRM) strategy perspective. It targets emerging customers using financial products offered by the banking industry in Lima. The various segments are analyzed from a demographic and socio-economic standpoint, with results suggesting that the price does not play a significant role in the decision process. Rather than price (interest rate in the banking industry), it was found that the most important factors are institutional honesty and transparency, disbursements speed, simplicity and straightforwardness of financial requirements, payment flexibility and advisory treatment.
