valentines
• Over 36 million heart-shaped boxes of chocolate
are sold each year.
• Valentine’s Day is the top holiday for fresh flower
purchases with red roses being most popular

• Cards
– Send an e-card
– Make your own card with personal photos
– Tell your special someone in person that you care
• Flowers
– Find a local grower
– Buy a rose plant or other plant

– Think about preparing an intimate meal at home
• Chocolate
– Who really needs this – consider alternative healthy treats
