3. Extracuricular Activities
I enjoy taking part in community service opportunities and functions. I have volunteered at the Garrison
Home for the elderly. There I made gift baskets for the residents, as well as spent the day talking to
them and assisting them with their daily activities. I have volunteered at the Larry Rice food pantry in
downtown St. Louis. I made sandwiches that were later passed out to all who came by. I have
volunteered at the Annie Malone House for children and families in need. I have also taken part in local
fundraisers. For the past few years I have walked in the annual 5K Race for The Cure, which is a walk/race to
support people with breast cancer. It takes place every year in downtown St. Louis. I am a plasma donor. I am
also enrolled in an asthma study conducted by Washington University. I am an associate in Boy Scouts of
America, in which my children and I take part in fundraisers as well as community service projects. I am very
active in my community. I am also working on a book that I will have published through Author House. I
strive for excellence in everything that I do.
