What is the FLAG? Fisheries Local Action Group Thornham to Caister-on-Sea £2.4m - European Fisheries Fund money Runs from 2011 to 2014 Nearly 30 separate projects
Vision and aims “We aim to provide a voice for the North Norfolk fishery which will influence policy at a regional and national level while demonstrating the strong reputation of the fishery and highlighting its impressive heritage.” ...a sustainable future for the North Norfolk fishery...
Specifically... Support existing fishery businesses Boost new entrants Provide new infrastructure Ensure environment not adversely affected Encourage and support new business opportunities
Current status FLAG now operational All projects will be commenced in next 12 months Over 30 written and verbal expressions of interest Simple application process Match funding requirement
