2. ORIGIN OF THE CELEBRATION
Originally in North America only existed 13 colonies wich where a part of the Kingdom of England.
The people living in the colonies where not happy with the decisions of the Crown and with the amount of
taxes that they needed to pay. In 1773 serval people gathered
in Boston, then raided three ships transporting tea, and they
dumped the tea in the sea, this event is known as ``The Boston
Tea Party´´. In 1775 the first battle ocured in the regions of
Lexington and Concord, then the Independence war trully began.
In 2 of July of 1776 the Declaration of Independence is signed.
The war ends in 1781, but the first time this the Independence
Day was celebrated in Philadelphia in the year 1777 during the
war.
3. How People Celebrate this Day
During 4th of July people take part in parades, have barbecues with the family,
and the decorate the cities with the colours of the flag and other North American
simbols. At the end of the day they make a lot
of noise with firecrackers, and light up the sky with
Fireworks, the loud noise and the smell of
Gunpowder create the atmosphere of war.
4. Other Countries
Other Countries have thier own Independence day
celebration and this Countries are not far form the United
States like for example Canada wich celebrate thier
Independence day the 1st of July, or Mexico wich celebrate
thier Independence from the empire of Spain the 16th
of September, in south america a lot of Countries have
an idependence day cause this countries were colonies and
some of the maneged to get Independence without spilling
blood like Costa Rica.
