All other physical or non physical practices may be
dropped out under any circumstances what so ever.
He who does not believe in Salat or is not
performing it is not a Muslim and shall be severely
punished at the Day of Judgment.
We know that we have to pray the daily five times
prayers but there are other prayers prescribed by
our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) who are the Sunnahs and
its good to pray them but if we don’t there will be no
harm.

“Those who believe, and do
deeds of righteousness, and establish
regular prayers and regular charity,
will have their reward with their
Lord: on them shall be no fear,
nor shall they grieve.” (2/277)
9. WHY DO MUSLIMS PRAY?
To remember God five times a day.
To bring themselves close to God and to
have a good relationship with Him.
10. SOCIAL ASPECTS OF PRAYER
PUNCTUALITY
SELF DISCIPLINE
CLEANLINESS
PATEINCE
CO-OPERATION
EQUALITY

“Establish regular prayer; for the prayer is
enjoined on believers at stated times.”
(4: 103)
AND
“Establish regular prayer, for it restrains from
shameful and unjust deeds.”(29:45)
13. Cleanliness
The Quran States:
“O You who believe, when you rise up for your prayer, wash
your faces, and your hands up to your elbows, and rub your
heads and wipe your feet up to the ankles. And if you are
polluted, then wash yourselves… God does not wish to place
you in a difficulty, but He wishes to purify you.”
(5: 7)

occasions.
The mosque is open for individuals to pray
voluntary the daily prayers and obligatory for
Friday prayer and annual prayers at the two

16. HUMILITY
In English, the word "humility" comes from the
Latin root word which means "ground." Humility, or
being humble, means that one is modest,
submissive and respectful, not proud and arrogant.
You lower yourself to the ground, not elevate
yourself above others. In prayer, Muslims prostrate
themselves to the ground, acknowledging human
beings' lowliness and humility before the Lord of
the Worlds. In the Qur'an, Allah uses several Arabic
words which convey the meaning of "humility”.

As Muslims, we should not let our emotions get the
better of us. It is certainly difficult for a person to
look at the tragedies of the world today and not feel
helpless and sad. But believers are called to put
their trust in their Lord, and not to fall into despair
or hopelessness.
We must continue to do what Allah has called us to
do: put our trust in Him, perform good deeds, and
stand as witnesses for justice and truth.
