  2. 2.  Jim Carrey had to drop out of school at 15 and start his job because disaster money was sorely missed. The future comedian, as well as his brothers and sisters, had to clean and wash toilets at the Titanium Wheels factory, and in Greek, his entire family lived in a minibus.
  3. 3.  Jim's first performance as a comedian was a failure. It wasn't until two years later that Kerry decided to return, and so he expected success. Jim has become one of the best comedians of our time.
  4. 4.   Jim Carrey , in full James Eugene Carrey, (born January 17, 1962, New Market, Ontario, Canada), Canadian American comedian who established himself as a leading comedic actor with a series of over-the-top performances and who won plaudits for his more-serious portrayals as his career progressed.
  5. 5.   Carrey grew up in and around Toronto. At age eight he began making faces before a mirror and discovered a talent for doing impressions. After leaving school in 1978 to help support his family, Carrey worked for two years as a janitor in a factory. He made his professional debut as a stand-up comedian in a Toronto club at age 15 and by 1979 he was able to make a living as a comedian.
  6. 6.  Known for his racing energy level and frenetic improvisation, he had a comic appeal that was mainly visual. He was a technically brilliant mimic and boasted more than 100 characterizations.
  7. 7.  At age 19 Carrey moved to Hollywood, where he acted in films and on television; he obtained dual citizenship to the United States in 2004.
