What are tsunami
 Tsunami are huge waves that is caused by volcanic eruption
and an under water earthquake. It causes a lot of loss to
human life and property.

Highest tsunami wave in the world
 This tsunami’s name is the Lituya Bay tsunami.
 On 9 july, 1958 in north America, the record of highest
tsunami in the world took place.
 It was over 1,700 feet above the ground!
 The impact of this tsunami was heard 50 miles away.
 This tsunami happened because of a really dangerous
earthquake.
 5 people were killed in this tsunami.

DO YOU KNOW?
 About 80% of tsunamis were occur in pacific ocean.
 Tsunami waves can be as huge as 1000 feet!
 Tsunami have speed of 800 km an hour!
 It is as fast as a jet plane.
