1. Evaluation Question 6
Through out the year we have been researching and planning in order to
construct our final media product. In order to do this we have been using a range
of different technologies such as the Haverstock Media Blog, Final Cut Pro, Sony
Vegas Pro, Storyboard That and Motion.
Since we started in September we have been using the Haverstock Media Blog to
upload all our research and planning to show the progress have how we got to
our final product. Through using different formats such as PowerPoint, Word,
Prezi, YouTube videos and more to upload the research and planning such as,
test shots, location shots, audience research, opening analysis, mood boards and
many more it has helped us to get construct the final product as well as we could
with what we had.
A software I have learnt to use was Final Cut Pro to edit our videos, although this
was the recommended software to use, I and other members of the group was
more familiar with the programme Sony Vegas Pro since we used this from past
experience, this allowed the group to learn different programmes of editing for
future uses or for emergencies.
Another programme I and other members of the group have learnt to use was
the software Motion which allowed us to create one of the institutional logo,
“Lonely Cloud” but since I was more familiar with another programme called
Cinema4D we have created the other institutional logo HYENA.
Storyboard That was something we taught ourselves in order to make
storyboards to help with the planning of our tasks. Although at first it was
difficult towards the end it became easier to use.
Youtube and Vimeo were two online websites where we uploaded our videos on
to and we would embed the link into our blog. YouTube and Vimeo were sites,
which we were all familiar with and we did not have to teach ourselves on how
to upload videos on to it.
Through using all the different software and websites, it aided us into creating
our final task.
