Use of text: Sting
(Title, Credits, animated captions, stings,
indents, interactive menus, web banner)
Brief description: This E-Sting is a man made animation created with a pad of paper. A person makes the
What do you see? flipbook and simply flips it in front of a camera. A stick man pulls the iconic E4 logo onto screen
and then the logo lands on the stick man. It is very simple but smart at the same time. E4 gets
viewers to send their stings in. This means each sting is different but they all feature the E4
logo.
Techniques used: It is a simple man made animation with not special visual effects or animation. The movement
Animation, Visual Effects, Colour Rendering, is due to the flipping of the flipbook. The background colour is very simple as the setting is a
Graphics, Movement table. This makes the logo standout. I believe the sting is very well presented due to how
simple it is and is very memorable.
Advanced techniques: There are no advanced techniques in this sting. This means that less money was made to make
Blur, Sharpen, Distortion, Rotation, Opacity it and it may stand out against most advanced stings.
Technical comments: The sting has an aspect ratio of 1:33:1. It is filmed with a low quality camera but is shown in
Video Format, Screen Ratio, Resolution, high quality.
