A native of Odessa, Ukraine, Semyon “Sam” Kislin founded and chairs Trans Commodities Inc., a commodities trading company that specializes in the purchase and sale of metal products. From 1996 to 2000, Sam Kislin served as a board member for the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and was recognized as “Man of the Year” by the organization in 2003.

responsible for numerous projects designed to
revitalize New York City boroughs and improve
quality of life for their residents.
3. Among recently completed projects is the
Prospect Park Lakeside Center in Brooklyn, which
includes two open-air ice skating rinks totaling
32,000 square feet. Accessible year-round, the
rinks are used for roller-skating and water play
during the summer, and for ice skating and
hockey during the winter.
Completed in 2013, the facility also features new
support buildings with amenities such as lockers,
a café, a gift shop, and public restrooms.
