  1. Why is this important? What do y’all notice about the plate? Is everything even? The portion sizes of each are slightly different because we need different amounts from each food group. What is there the most of?
  2. What’s a protein? Palm is 3oz.
  3. 2 slices of whole-wheat bread (2 oz.), 5 crackers (1 oz.), Medium piece of cornbread (2oz.)
  4. ½ cup string cheese, 1 cup milk, ½ low-fat yogurt, 2 slices low-fat cheese. Why do we need dairy?? Calcium for strong teeth and bones!!!
  5. The portion sizes of each are slightly different because we need different amounts from each food group. What is there the most of?
  6. Do yall know where to find if a juice is 100%??
  7. Who’s tried avocado?
  8. It’s a dried fruit
  9. 2 cups
  10. Large sweet potato, side salad with cherry tomatoes and cucumbers.
