Ethical management relates to the undertaking of
management functions in an ethical manner by
doing the right thing for individual success and
organizational effectiveness .
Management of ethics involve managers applying
internal policie, rules and regulations as well as
stipulated government laws to manage ethical
issues.Ethics deals with morality in business .It is
a system of moral principles and values applied
to business activities . This means the business

themselves in fair practices and competition; all of which will benefit
the consumer, the society and organization.
o Satisfying Basic Human Needs : Every employee desires to be

its practices.
o Uniting People and Leadership : An organization driven by
values is revered by its employees also. They are the common
thread that brings the employees and the decision makers on a
common platform.
o Securing the Society : Often ethics succeeds law in safeguarding

standards that managers adopt. Even if it is harmful to the

profits, considering ethics. They adhere to standards of conduct
that are ethical and legal. The core principle here is, ‘Is this

Understand that ethics in management is an ongoing process,
rather than a practice. Ethical systems create codes, rules, and
procedures, minutes of meetings, newsletters, etc. Yet, the most
significant element in ethics management is reflective dialogue. It
initiates a process of strategic planning.
2. Try to Eliminate Its Occurrence
The best way to deal with ethical dilemmas is to stop their
occurrence in the first place. That is why activities such as the
establishment of ethics codes and codes of conduct are so
important. It introduces employees to ethical considerations and

3. Have the Right Mechanism
Proper mechanisms should be in place to deal with the complicated
ethical issues in the day-to-day business realities. Also, have a
grievance policy for employees to use to settle conflicts with
managers and employees.
4. Have Adequate Training
It isn’t enough to have codes and regulations in place that address
ethics. In circumstances involving ethics, workers need to be taught
how to act.
5. Enforce Policies and Procedures
Have policies and procedures (and keep updating them) to reward
ethical behaviour. Also, enforce unethical conduct penalties.
