Electron Trsansport Chain
 The electron transport chain is the series of electron transport
embedded in the inner mitochondrial membrane that shuttles
electrons from NADH and FADH2 to molecular oxygen.
 In this process ,protons are pumped from the mitochondial matrix to
the intermembrane space and oxygen is reduced to form water.

Production
 The electron transport chain (aka ETC) is process in which the NADH
and [FADH2] produced during glycolysis,B-oxidation,and other
catbolic processes are oxidized thus releasing energy in the form of
ATP.
 The mechanism by which ATP is formed in the ETC is called
chemiosmotic phosphorolation.
