4.1 Competitive Edge
The Trust MLM competitive advantage over traditional fund-raising schemes is our unique MLM scheme
which allows donors to become active fund-raising agencies generating multiple revenue streams for mutual
financial benefit.
4.2 Marketing Strategy
Marketing strategy
Multi-level marketing (MLM) is a Marketing strategy which we intend to introduce where in the sales force
commissioned to sell our products will not only focus on sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of

Sales targets
Most commonly, the salespeople will be expected to sell products directly to consumers by means of relationship
referrals, word of mouth, as well as" direct selling and online marketing".
Page 7

Distribution channels
Direct Selling
A company sells a product to a consumer (typically personal contacts) via direct selling methods, and recruits
new people to help sell. The salesperson is then being compensated for the sales made as well as the sales of the
people recruited.
Direct marketing:
1. Job board: Job board is a website that facilitates job hunting and range from large scale generalist sites to
niche job boards for job categories such as engineering, legal, insurance, social work, teaching as well as
cross-sector categories such as green jobs, ethical jobs and seasonal jobs. Users can typically deposit their
resumes and submit them to potential employers, while employers can post job ads and search for potential
employees.
2. Meta search and vertical search engines: Some web sites are simply search engines that collect results from
multiple independent job boards. This is an example of both metasearch (since these are search engines
which search other search engines) and vertical search (since the searches are limited to a specific topic - job
listings). Some of these new search engines primarily index traditional job boards. These sites aim to provide
a "one-stop shop" for job-seekers who don't need to search the underlying job boards. In 2006, tensions
developed between the job boards and several scraper sites, with Craigslist banning scrapers from its job
classifieds and Monster.com specifically banning scrapers through its adoption of a robots exclusion standard
on all its pages while others have embraced them.
3. LinkUp: (website) is a job search engine ("job aggregator") that indexes pages only from employers' websites
choosing to bypass traditional job boards entirely. These vertical search engines allow jobseekers to find new
positions that may not be advertised on the traditional job boards. The largest employment site in the world
is Indeed.com, a "job aggregator", collecting job postings from employer websites, job boards, online
classifieds, and association websites. Simply Hired is another large aggregator collecting job postings from
many sources.
4. Direct Employers Associations: JobCentral.com (website) is a site owned by the non-profit Direct
Employers Association, an association of several hundred employers who post their jobs on this site as well
as their own sites. JobCentral also accepts job postings from other non-association member employers as
well as from recruiters and other non-members.
5. Industry specific posting boards: are also appearing. These consolidate all the vacancies in a very specific
industry. The largest "niche" job board is DICE.com (website) which focuses on the IT industry. Many
industry and professional associations offer members a job posting capability on the association website.
Employer review website
Page 8
11. The Trust
6. Employer review website: is a type of employment website where past and current employees post
comments about their experiences working for a company or organization. An employer review website
normally takes the form of an internet forum. Typical comments are about management, working
conditions, and pay. Although employer review websites may produce links to potential employers, they do
not typically list vacancies.[citation needed]
7. Pay For Performance (PFP): The most recent second generation of employment websites, often referred to
as Pay For Performance (PFP) involves charging for membership services rendered to jobseekers. The PFP
category is expected to expand as consumers become more sophisticated and the universe of employment sites
has become more cluttered.
Multi Layer marketing:
Independent, non-salaried salespeople of multi-level marketing, referred to as distributors (or associates,
independent business owners, dealers, franchise owners, sales consultants, consultants, independent agents, etc.),
will represent our companies product portfolios as legal entities of their own. They will be remunerated via a
structured commission and bonus award scheme based upon the volume of services they sell through their own
sales efforts as well as that of their down-line organisation.
Independent distributors will be encouraged to develop their organizations by either building an active customer
base, who subscribe to product offerings, or by recruiting a down-line of independent distributors who also
build a customer base, thereby expanding the overall organization. Additionally, distributors can also earn a
profit by retailing our affiliate products which they purchased from the company at favorable prices.
Uni-level Plan
The Uni-level plan has been around for many years and given its proven track record is still used by a number of
network marketing companies today. The main benefit to this model is that is very easy to understand, however
like all compensation plans, whilst there are some benefits there are also a number of setbacks that should also be
considered.
Uni-level, as the name suggests, only enables you to sponsor one line of distributors, therefore everyone you
sponsor is on your front-line There are no width limitations to this plan (i.e. there is no limit to the amount of
people you can sponsor in your front-line) and commissions are normally paid out on a limited depth (common
plans that we have reviewed pay commissions between 5 and 7 levels deep). Therefore, the common goal of this
plan is to recruit a large number of front-line distributors and then encourage them to do the same.
Page 9
12. The Trust
To earn a commission using this structure there is normally only a minimal amount of personal volume that is
required, which essentially makes it easier for part-timers to earn an income. Although it tends to be easier to
earn a commission using this compensation structure, when comparing it to other plans, the structure itself
restricts the total amount of each commission you can earn (i.e. although it is easier to earn commissions you do
not tend to earn as much).
One of the main disadvantages of the plan is that every distributor you sponsor becomes cross-line to all of your
other front-line distributors and therefore must work in competition with the others. This can present
numerous challenges for the newcomer who attempts to recruit friends and family into their business, as in
essence, they will be working in competition to one another. An ever increasing front-line also requires
continual training and having to manage large numbers of people.
The uni-level plan does, however, have a few advantages, mainly the fact that it is easy to explain. Generally,
the more distributors you recruit, the greater your pay. This makes it attractive to your experienced network
markers, particularly those that are gun recruiters and have the ability to develop management and training
systems for their growing down-line
Given the competition created between front-line distributors within this compensation structure, it is common
practice for distributors within this plan to target their cold market (people they don't know) as a way to build
their organisation. This may include developing lead generation systems and the use of internet leads.
Most modern network marketing companies using this model have made slight changes to its basic structure to
make it more attractive and allow some partial teamwork. Additionally, most uni-level plans now also include a
number of bonuses to make their compensation plan more appealing. Another advantage of modern day uni-
level plans is that when distributors rank advance they are generally entitled to earn a higher commission rate.
This compensation model is generally best suited for those who have network marketing experience or those
who are very confident in their ability to recruit a large number of front-line distributors. Like most
compensation structures this model does offer the potential to earn a very high income if you are willing to put
in the work.

Referral Marketing
With network marketing, sales and recruitment are done through personal contacts. Once these people are
users, salespeople try to convert them from users to salespeople for the products. This is also called multi-level
marketing.
Referral marketing is a structured and systematic process to maximize word of mouth potential. Referral
marketing does this by encouraging, informing, promoting and rewarding customers and contacts to think and
talk as much as possible about their supplier, their company, product and service and the value and benefit the
supplier brings to them and people they know.
Referral marketing takes word of mouth from the spontaneous situation to one where maximum referrals are
generated.
Referral marketing segment strategies:
1. Use of the "100 contacts" list method to launch an infinite family and friend referral bank.
2. Use of digital marketing to engage a customer with online advertising in order to promote products and
services. this we aim to implement by using advertising banners/applications on internet connected devices
such as web browsers, smart phones and game consoles. Thus, as technology develops more devices become
able of internet browsing and the digital marketing potential that comes with it.

4.4 Milestones
The Trust MLM will have several milestones early on:
1. Business plan completion. This will be done as a road map for the organization. While we do not need a
business plan to raise capital, it will be an indispensable tool for the ongoing performance and improvement
of the company.
