Summer Youth Employment
Program (SYEP) provides
students in Washington
Heights, NY with a six-week
career learning experience
where they get hands on
opportunities to develop
professional skills and
competencies.

4. Business Case Challenge
Through SuitUp, volunteers from Plaid and students from Boys & Girls Club Kern County
and SYEP Washington Heights participated in a SuitUp business competition in which
they created a new and innovative financial literacy app for teens. Volunteers coached
students in various departments before helping them pitch to judges for a cash prize.
