Rationale
WHO
This project is carried
out by students.
Students involved are
between 14 and 18
years.
In the first phase of the
pilot project around 500
students and 10 teachers
have been involved
WHEN
The project will last
three years, it started
on 20017/18, and will
end by 2019/2020.
WHY
Leonardo adopted an
holistic approach to
knowledge.
The graphical
representation is a
fundamental part of his
scientific investigation,
developing both
aspects: morphological
and functional.
Leonardo build models
using a graphical code
and proportions.
HOW
This research is based
on STEAM Project
model and follows the
constructivist
philosophy, as
suggested by David
Jonassen, Bolte C.,
Streller S., Holbrook
J., et alii.
Objectives
The main objective of this
process is to provide students
with the basis to build up an
holistic approach.
During this process students will
manage important subjects
concerning: cognitive flexibility,
ability to solve problems, create
solutions and use different codes.
All these aspects represent the
foundamental skills for a young
person who wants to become a
main characther of the European
Union and of nowdays.
MainTarget
Students
use an engaging teaching in order to let
students be main actors of the learning
process
use new technologies
show the relationship between teaching and
learning as a part of PBL (project based
learning) methodology.
Teachers
transform research and place Art & Design
at the center of STEM
encourage integration of Art & Design in K–
20 education
realize an interdisciplinary
curriculum,
