1. FMP 2 Diary Week 6
This week I re-edited my Context and Research Power Points from the feedback I got, to get a
better grade for my project, I’ve only got a pass and I’m aiming for a merit. I added extra slides
to Context explaining why three directors of horror inspired me in greater detail, then made
my statement at the end of the Power Point longer. I plan to make four case studies for my
research, I did two on horror movies and I’ll do two on PSAs, at the end of this 5 hour process
I didn’t have time to re-edit my Problem Solving/Experiments Power Point and I spent a long
time adding designs to my new slides but had to do it in college because my own computer
can’t make slide layouts, after all of this I added sources I found to my bibliography. During the
rest of the week, I finished my Pre-Production Power Point by filling out the sections: the
Story Board, the Shot List, the Schedule and Health and Safety. I finished all the slides even
though I found some harder than others by; drawing simple scenarios on not what to do in a
slasher movie for my story board, using a format on word to make a detail shot list,
thoroughly thinking about a production schedule and then filling out on a short grid and
making short but accurate what if and solution scenarios for Health and Safety (when I first
wrote it, I wrote the wrong points so I had to go back and change it). I found a more ‘slasher
worthy’ house to film and this changed my project to dump the Hospitium idea and use this
house closer to home for establishing shots. This new house changed my project as it will now
be a more isolated cottage in the 'woods idea' rather than a 'haunted mansion'.
