AND MALAYSIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM
• Innovation has become one of the important
components in the national policy
development especially for the long run
planning in a country.
• Necessary to be emphasized and actively
implemented especially to suit the
aspiration of the nation especially in
realizing a new working structure in the
country and to meet the future challenge
globally.
4. GLOBAL CHALLENGES
• Lack of higher impact research
• Limited number of competent aspect
• Lack of exposure and resources to
embrace education without burdens.
• More quality education programmes.
5. PURPOSES OF MALAYSIAN
EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
Primary school
• To develop a solid foundation for life-
long learning in children.
• UPSR (to measure a child’s progress)
• Standardized curriculum – ensure that
important and fundamental subjects
are well covered.
6. Secondary school
• Standardized curriculum – ensure
consistency in learning standards.
• 2 international examination – level of
understanding is measured.
• Further the study to get the certificate for
university application and valid for some
job.
• Higher educational institutions.
• Offer programs leading to the award of
certificates, diploma and postgraduate
qualification.
7. Tertiary education
• Offer programs leading to the award of
certificates, diploma, first degree
qualification.

TRADITIONAL METHOD
1. Direct teaching/ teaching – Centered teaching
• Teacher is the ‘king’ and student is the
‘subject’.
• Order must be followed without question or
risked punishment.

• Review the school structure – Reducing
the types of school, pupils, from all races
will be allocated into one integrated
education system.
• Improve the learning environment –
Reduced to a smaller number (20 pupils
per class)
• Emphasize application on information
should be more diversified.
