Our business process and strategy services practice provides front end analysis of all processes related to sales, marketing, financial planning and reporting, internal operations related to all functions, supply chain and distribution.
We work with our clients to get to Root Cause of issues or identify opportunities for improvement, conduct gap analysis, remove waste, formulate a plan of action and help execute it.
Our BPS practice is led by Mr. Shaker Cherukuri who has extensive expertise in this area having worked at several fortune 500 corporations like GE, Cummins, Caterpillar and a Top Management Consulting firm (Booz Allen Hamilton).
An overall initial assessment of the business is conducted which includes People, Process, Systems and Market.
This is followed up with Root Cause and/or Gap Analysis that identifies the needs of the business based on goals identified initially. For example, Growth vs Margin Expansion.
An initial assessment report with recommendations is provided.
Project plans are created to address the issues identified in the Gap Analysis.
Implementation plans are formulated and execution commences.

  • GE 2017 Q3 earnings indicate a structural shift in Power Sector. The Cash Flow from operations drop from $14 Billion to $7 Billion un 2017 is quite dramatic. Most of this from Power Division could be due to power plants are either not buying as many turbines or are not renewing the very profitable CSAs. Most likely the latter. Structural shift due to technology distruption and not a economic cycle trough I think.

  • Turmoil at GE. After Finance, GE went all in on Oil & Gas which promptly collapsed. Now it is all about digital (Predix) which has its genesis in the GE Energy group's risk assessment tools for power plants services contract management where I was a PM. That business (service contracts) which is the biggest margin contributor to GE might also be in a decay due to distributed power generation and consumption via renewals as evident from Tesla's unbelievable capitalization. If this is not proof of rapid rate of change of acceleration that has caused major disruptions then I don't know what is.
