3. We love working with artists to produce our watches. Our watches were designed with the artwork they would showcase
in mind. Our minimalist rectangular case frames the dial, higher hands allow for varying use of texture, and soft muted
straps highlight the often vibrant and always detailed dials.
Our goal is to establish a meaningful medium that links artist and buyer.
The following pages contain our current line-up of products, prices, and artists we are currently collaborating
with. Each artist we work with has had to spend countless hours refining, and adapting their style to meet the
strict specifications needed for the finely crafted timepiece. We currently offer 2 variations of products: Print and
Commissioned watches.
Print: Each print watch is limited in number and based from an original, hand-painted work. The original work is
photographed and printed using only the highest quality of matte, archival paper to ensure the work doesn’t fade or
discolor.
Commission: Each of our artists are available to create a completely custom design based on your request. After
choosing an artist, several drafts / renditions are reviewed before the final result. The process is a partnership between
the artist and the commisioner through the entire lifespan of the creation.

“America is a melting pot of race, culture,
ideas and styles. I am personally immersed in
this heterogeneity. When relating my ancestry
to others, I often explain that I am 1/32
Iroquois and that one of my forebearers was
a tribal chief. And yet, what I rarely share is
that my knowledge of this distant heritage ends
there. My artwork is a manifestation of recent
attempts to understand this past and explore
my inclination towards Native American
culture. I use transparent layers and pixelated
images of native rugs to create “remixes” of
already existing imagery. By re-appropriating
these patterns, I explore the difficulty of
finding a culture’s purity in today’s global
generation.”

5. Ellie NewellStyle # : FW15-003
Style # : FW15-004
Ellie Hansen Newell creates abstracted imagery that is fundamen-
tally tied to her exploration of her ancestry. Having been raised
in Japan, Ellie began to foster an interest in art as drawing was a
common part of Japanese youth culture. As Ellie moved through
college she began to discover the relevance of ancestral ties evident
in her creative process. As part of that process Ellie recycles found
materials, a tradition she discovered was common to her Samurai
great grandfather. Her process also bases itself in responding and
expanding upon previous mark making by bringing back materi-
al that she sees potential and value in. This links to her interest
in her heritage by its recognition of the impact of the past on the
present and future. Currently Newell resides in Provo, Utah with
her husband Nick, where she is double majoring in Art Education
along with a BFA in Studio Arts at Brigham Young University.

“I consider myself a painter and I paint with thread. The process
of transforming string into art struck me as something visually
stimulating with complex simplicity. Engaging both tradition-
al and innovative techniques in employing formal qualities with
density, texture and pattern. The embroidery floss is my palette
and the needle is my paintbrush. I like to think I can reclaim
the word “craft” which contains the idea of an unusual frame of
knowledge and skill passed on from generation to generation.”
About the Artist:
8. Skye DowellStyle # : FW15-005
Style # : FW15-006
Skye’s versatile style is shown through her hand-painted, hand-
stitched dials. Recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts
from the University of Houston, Skye works predominately in the
medium of painting, but occasionally uses fiber for added texture
and interest. She uses handmade mulberry paper, thread, and
watercolor paints for her dials.

“I am inspired by the abstract expressionist greats of the 40’s and 50’s and choose to use my
hands to apply paint instead of a brush. Working on a horizontal surface from all sides, I
feel closer to my art and more easily able to mix vivid color combinations along with creating
contrasting movement. Uninterested in painting known objects, I prefer to create abstract
images that arouse emotions unique to the individual viewer.”

“Born and raised on the small island of Rarotonga, I was
intrigued at how traditional art reflected the life of the island. I
trained myself in sketch artistry and let my sketches take on the
form and symmetry of the traditional art I had grown to love.
What started as a self-taught hobby, pulling from what I had
known, has become a full-time passion. My art is a new creation,
blending my Rarotongan heritage with the traditional designs of
the Maori or Moko.”

About the Artist:
13. Leslie DukeStyle # : FW15-013 “As an artist I am continually fascinated with color, particularly with its ability to prompt an
emotional response from its audience. My work explores color’s emotive capacity, focussing
more on the overall atmosphere created by the color palette of each piece, rather than the actual
subject matter depicted. This approach is meant to create a unique visual experience, one that
facilitates an inner dialogue by quietly probing the subconscious.”

“Helen Ahpornsiri creates herbarium collages using fern grown
in her garden, as well as foraged from all around the UK. Using
traditional pressing methods, it is the idea of preserving life by the
means of making something new, that inspires the work.”

Brera. Focusing mainly in miniatures and detailed sketching, she invokes emotion by recreating
pop culture icons. “I love the possibilities that can be created in miniature work - the invitation
to pause and examine a different universe than our own;”
About the Artist:
17. ThonisStyle # : FW15-014
I’m an absolute watch and art lover. For me both are objects to
get lost in the details and story. My work is often modern and
abstract. I like to use vibrant colors that convey emotion and catch
your attention. Like watchmakers, I spend the greatest attention
to details, and to the quality of materials used in my work. All of
my work is made in the lovely city of Amsterdam.

About the Artist:
19. Erin BerrettStyle # : FW15-016
“The paradox of the term ‘still life’ inspires me. There’s a
fundamental tension between the still and the life, isn’t there?
That’s what I try to capture when I paint. To me, objects
are never completely motionless, or emotionless for that
matter. They tremble. They vibrate. And those vibrations are
produced not only by the construction of the object, but the
external forces exerted on it --- the angle of the light, for
instance, and the perspective of the viewer. What’s a good
painting to me? It’s hard to know, but I’ll tell you this: when
the object comes alive, and the environment, the viewer
and I all participate to make that happen - that’s success
to me.” For each piece, Erin uses acrylic gesso (3 layers,
sanded fine), oil paint, liquin medium, Gamsol and Soluvar.
